Three variables, and they multiply
Every payout page leads with the same figure. Ninety percent, ninety-five, occasionally a hundred the split is what firms compete on because it is the easiest number to compare and the easiest to raise. It is also the weakest of the three variables that determine what lands in your bank account. The other two are how often you are permitted to request money, and how often a request is actually honoured in full. These do not add together. They multiply. And the third one is, almost everywhere, invisible.
THE SPLIT
- The band has collapsed. Nearly every serious firm now sits between 80% and 100%. A five-point difference on a $3,000 withdrawal is $150 real money, but not the number that decides your year.
- A hundred percent usually costs something elsewhere. Higher entry pricing, tighter consistency thresholds, or a narrower list of permitted trading conditions. The split rarely stands on its own.
- It applies only to profit you are allowed to take. A generous share of an amount you cannot yet withdraw is arithmetic, not a payment.
FREQUENCY
- Cycles decide exposure time. Profit still sitting in the account is profit still governed by the drawdown rules. A monthly cycle leaves a month of earnings exposed to one bad Tuesday. On-demand does not.
- Cycles decide what you can do with it. Money withdrawn can be deployed, saved, or simply removed from risk. Money waiting on a date does none of those things.
- Fixed windows turn good weeks into waiting. Miss the request date by a day and a profitable fortnight sits idle until the next one comes round, with every rule still running against it.
DENIAL RATE
- It is the only variable nobody quantifies. Splits are advertised. Frequencies are published. The proportion of legitimate requests reduced, delayed or refused is disclosed almost nowhere in this industry.
- It hides inside discretion. Where terms permit a review of trading behaviour after a profitable run, a payout can be reduced or held on grounds decided after the profit was made rather than before.
- An unmeasured variable is where the risk lives. You can model a split and plan around a cycle. You cannot plan around a clause that has never been quantified which is precisely why it is the one worth asking about first.
What the market actually publishes
| Firm | Published split | Withdrawal frequency | Denial policy stated? |
| FTMO | Up to 90% | On approval, 1–2 business days | Not stated |
| FundedNext | Up to 95% | Cycle-based, 24-hour processing | Not stated |
| FundingPips | Up to 100% | Cycle-based, several options | Not stated |
| The 5%ers | Up to 100% | Same-day processing | Not stated |
| Hola Prime | Up to 95% | On demand, one-hour guarantee | Yes zero-denial policy |
The Prop firm that put a number on the third variable
A proprietary trading firm can raise its split overnight and change nothing about what you receive. Committing publicly on denial is harder, because it removes the discretion that makes the other two numbers safe to advertise. That is the useful test of any best prop firm payout structure, and of any best trading prop firm claim. Hola Prime is the only major operator to have taken it:
- A Zero Payout Denials Policy. In force since October 2025: no legitimate request is refused where the trading rules were followed. The third variable stops being a probability and becomes a commitment one no other prop trading firm has put in writing.
- On demand, not on a calendar. Once the thresholds are met there is no cycle date to wait for, so earnings are not left sitting under the drawdown rules for weeks. Among proprietary trading firms, on-demand access paired with a same-hour transfer remains uncommon.
- Verified afterwards, not just promised. Every completed payout appears in a daily transparency report with the time taken the record that separates the fastest payout prop firm from the firm with the fastest marketing.
- And the split is still at the top of the band. Up to 95:5, so nothing was traded away to make the other two work. That combination is what a best prop firm claim should have to mean.
| Up to 95% | × | On demand | × | Zero denials, paid in an hour |
Multiply the three and the ranking changes. A hundred percent of a payment you wait a month for, subject to a review nobody has quantified, is worth less than ninety-five percent paid on request under a published no-denial commitment. Judged on the whole equation rather than the advertised term, Hola Prime is the clear winner, the prop trading firm competing on the variable everyone else leaves blank. It is the fastest payout prop firm by published record rather than by claim, and on the only arithmetic that reaches your account it is the best trading prop firm here. Any best prop firm shortlist that stops at the split is measuring one term out of three.
